​If you’re a parent of kids who don’t know computers yet, put the family PC on the hardest Linux distro you can handle

They’ll go longer without becoming attached to technology (not that parents don’t play a role) Way less viruses, especially ones that would target kids They’ll have an easier time if they choose to pursue anything computer science or programming related If Microsoft commits some horrible atrocity, they won’t have trouble not supporting them If PCs get even harder to afford, they’ll know how to keep a PC for longer because many Linux distros work well on old machines
