Hey everyone! I thought of a business idea recently , and I’d love to get some feedback. So, I was at a laundromat and noticed how it was super busy on a Monday evening, around 40 people in there, and it got me thinking: what if a laundromat could be more than just a chore? What if it was a social hangout spot for Gen Z and millennials? I’m picturing a laundromat that’s also a board game café—like you come in, do your laundry, but stay to play board games, trading card games (Pokémon, Magic, One Piece), and just hang out. I’d design it so it’s welcoming even if you’re not a gamer with things like comfy seating, snacks, maybe even themed nights (like trivia). I want it to be a true community hub—something a young mom waiting on her kids’ laundry, a college student, or a board gamer could all enjoy. I’d offer wash-and-fold services as well though. This would also help people meet others, and make friends. Also, with how much productivity is valued these days, friends could come together and get a must like laundry out of the way, but have some fun too. What do you all think would this be something you’d come to, or do you have other ideas to make it more inclusive?
