Found this buried in my backyard. It appears to be solid steel or iron which has rusted to mostly a brownish color (certainly metallic and very durable) I am not sure how deep it is buried, but I dug about a foot before stopping. The head is solid metal and has grooves that appear to spiral slightly. The main metal rod that the head is attached to is bent; not sure if that’s part of the design or if someone bent it on purpose to try to bury it completely. The rod/stem extends more than a foot and frankly I’m not sure how deep it goes. It was found because I noticed the very top of the eye of the needle portion exposed above the grass so I began to dig.
