​How did you all get started?

Hello,

So lately I have been thinking about getting back into writing. In the past I have been complimented on my writing skills and have been trying to find something I can focus on while I look for a job. But what kind of applications, Word, Google, etc., do you typically use? I guess in general where do I begin? I have an idea/concept in my head but not sure how to go about getting it on paper.

IF…IF this is something I could turn into something, like a career, in the future, what are the steps for that as far as publishing? How would one go about doing this anonymously? I would like to explore the romance genre but I don’t want my personal life to get complicated by this adventure. Any and all advice is appreciated
