Dead Girls Game

It’s been twenty years since that long week. The day my world was toppled to the ground, the day I lost my friends and nearly my wife. My name is Michael, this happened while I was in college with new friends and my girlfriend before she became my wife. I was twenty years old at the time and my girlfriend, Leah, was a year younger than me. She had short messy red hair and peach skin, hazel eyes and slightly shorter than me as i was five-eleven. Our friends were named Sam, Derek, Lila, and Thomas. Sam was our more explorative friend, her black hair usually always found in either a bun or a ponytail in her shorts, tank top and leather jacket with hiking boots. Derek was the quiet one of the group and always had something in his hand when he sat with us, we also knew he was crushing hard on Sam. Lila was Thomas’s sister, she had short blonde hair and blue eyes with light makeup, she was the group’s self-titled diva of the group, always sending Leah a new makeup tutorial. Thomas was the gym rat and softie, had a love for kids and would always send me messages of crazy gym videos.

*It was the beginning of winter vacation, and I had been planning to spend most of my time with Leah at her uncle’s house. While walking home with her, we had received a message from Sam that she wanted to show us to a new abandoned building to explore through. I showed the message to Leah and all she had done was laugh weakly and nod her head. I sighed and began to respond when Thomas already beat me to it. “Sam. Is this about the haunted middle school again?” he had asked.* *I heard Leah groan next to me. “Not this again…”* *“What does he mean?” I asked, confused on what I was missing.* *“Sam found this old abandoned middle school a couple months back and has been trying to get us to come along. Now she managed to get Derek to come along, you know why but even he was hesitant.” she replied. “She’s been persistent.”* *I didn’t know of any abandoned middle-schools around our area, and I’ve lived here for almost two years now. My phone buzzed again and this time it was Lila. “If it’ll get you to leave us alone about the stupid middle-school, then fine we will go.”* *“Looks like the decision has been made for us. Look.” I said, showing Leah the messages. “Maybe we can make it a quick trip, in and out. Then we can go to your uncle’s place.”* *Leah groaned and looked at me with stubborn eyes; the same ones she usually uses to make me change my mind. It worked sometimes, but that day was not one of them, and I wish it was; I should have listened. I did not know what would happen and why i now have the scars to show.*
