Hello All,
I work for a company that has multiple sites spanning across the country and they suffer with illegal flytipping which is costing 6 figures a year to remove and it’s often got me thinking “why don’t we have CCTVs focusing on the bin areas” seems simple.
I’ve looked into 4g lte solar powered cameras that are cloud based and have the AI detection integrated for detection. I have the SIA licence for CCTV operation and I would need to register with the ICO as a data controller as I would be the one who reviews the footage.
I could invest on the cameras and install them and charge a monthly fee taking into account the cost of insurances, data and my time to review the footage and send over the info to catch illegal fly tipping.
Is there anything glaringly obvious things I’m over looking, has anyone started a similar business that could shed some insight?
