I understand that lead capture tech and QR codes are NOT new and I have a lot of experience with it going to and planning a lot of events.
I’m also aware of popl and blinq.
The underserved market is B2C/small events. Simple snd affordable. Made for non technical people on both sides.
The concept is a simple lead capture tool for in-person events. Instead of using paper sign-up sheets, an exhibitor, vendor, realtor, author, or small business displays a QR code that visitors can scan from their phone. The visitor is taken to a simple web page/pop up where they can quickly share their contact information (name, email, phone, etc.) using browser autofill, with the option to choose what information they want to share.
The business owner receives all leads in a dashboard and can export them to Excel/CSV after the event.
The goal is to provide a much simpler and more affordable alternative to paper sign-in sheets, business card fishbowls, and expensive lead retrieval systems.
Target users would be:
• Realtors hosting open houses • Authors at book fairs • Conference sponsors • Consultants and service providers attending networking events • Small businesses exhibiting at local events
My questions:
1 Do you currently collect leads at in-person events? 2 How do you do it today? 3 What’s the biggest pain point with your current process? 4 Would a solution like this solve a real problem, or am I missing something?
