​How is digital marketing in your experience?

Hello I’ve been doing web designs and was about to start freelancing but then started hearing a lot about digital marketing, and was wondering if my skills can be transferred and if digital marketing is even a good idea? What are the skills needed?

I would like to start as a side hustle and then eventually making it my main income by starting an agency and expand.
