Ceffids are a humanoid race strongly connected with nature, to such an extent that their physical characteristics and personality can change according to the season they are in, a fact that will be addressed shortly.
Ceffids have a humanoid appearance; however, their heads are adorned with lush antlers that grow with age. They have long, pointed ears, usually tilted upwards, and a few scales distributed throughout their bodies, typically around the ears, eyes, shoulders, back, and elbows. They have sharp claws, and the teeth in their mouths are all sharp. Contrary to their appearance, they can even eat fruits and vegetables, but they mainly adopt a carnivorous diet.
These beings have a solitary nature and dislike living near many individuals of other races, or even their own. Nomadic individuals typically limit themselves to groups of no more than five. However, in large, rich forests, they establish hidden villages where many of them live together, indicating that their solitary nature only applies to their immediate environment. Additionally, individuals of this race often form lifelong couples, and if one partner dies, the other will remain alone for the rest of their life.
Regarding their physical capabilities, these individuals are notably fast, flexible, and resilient, able to remain active for hours if necessary. They typically have good physical strength, but this is not necessarily inherent to the race; rather, it’s a consequence of their active lifestyle. They use their claws for combat, defense, and climbing, as they prefer forest environments.
Another notable characteristic of this race is their respect for nature, often becoming completely enraged if it is violated. As they are normally predators, they understand that nature may incur losses occasionally but also know when there is a limit.
Concerning the seasonal changes in these individuals, it should first be noted that this characteristic evolved as necessary for their survival.
Summer: Their hair, eyes, horns, and scales will change to a golden hue, their personalities become more cheerful and optimistic, and they become more resistant to heat and thirst.
Winter: Their hair, eyes, horns, and scales change to a white color, their personalities become more cunning and cautious, they become resistant to cold and hunger, their eyes become sensitive to any movement they can detect, and they develop the habit of hiding in snowdrifts to ambush prey.
Autumn: Their hair, eyes, horns, and scales take on a blood-red color, their personalities become more distant and relaxed, they adopt nocturnal habits, sleeping during the day and waking at night, and they begin to hoard food for the winter.
Spring: Their hair, eyes, horns, and scales turn brown, and their personalities become extremely positive, often hyperactive, and practically sleepless. They become much more playful and generous, constantly renewed and cooperative.
