I’ve always had this idea of starting a storage facility, because quite frankly they’re everywhere and they never seem to fail. My idea, however, is more of a storage for just RVs, boats and trailers rather than “junk.” Rates around where I am are $200-250ish a month depending on the size of the space. My business idea is to cater to first responders, teachers, health care workers, and military (there’s a base where I live) and undercut the normal pricing due to their service.
What do you guys think of the idea? How would one get such a large loan for a business considering purchasing land that has ease of access, as well constructing the facility itself. I’ve also considered adding certain amenities like sewer, water and propane so people could load and go, but obviously that affects price.
I feel like it has potential due to these places having low overhead (very few employees) and not a lot of upkeep.
It’s always been an idea in my head, I just don’t have the guts or know how to get the ball rolling.
Thank you! 🙂
