When I’m penning down poems, I keep catching myself using the same old words again and again. It’s like my brain’s stuck on repeat, and it’s kinda killing the vibe. It’s like there’s a limited pool of words in my mind that I keep drawing from, and it’s starting to feel stale.
Do you have any techniques or exercises that could help expand my vocabulary and prevent this repetitive pattern? How do you ensure variety in your word choice, especially when trying to convey similar emotions or themes across different works? And, most importantly, how can I prevent myself from sounding like a 13 year old who just learned what a thesaurus was?
Any advice on how to keep the language fresh and engaging would be greatly appreciated.
