Would love constructive feedback on a fun second-person rom-com concept (first time writing in 10 years!)

Hi everyone!

I recently started writing again after taking a 10-year break, so I’m very rusty and would really appreciate some constructive feedback on the concept before I go too far with it.

I’m working on a second-person, rom-com style story where the reader steps into the shoes of the main character. (Kind of like a playful, self-insert POV but written with a more polished, novel-style tone.)

Premise: The protagonist ends up in Italy during Fashion Week and accidentally gets swept into a whirlwind of: • billionaire romance • ride-or-die best friends • chaotic “fame” moments

My goal is to make the story lighthearted, escapist, and confidence-boosting!The kind of thing people read when they want to feel like the main character.

Before I keep drafting, I’d love feedback on: • whether this premise feels appealing • whether second-person works for this genre • any pitfalls I should avoid when writing in this POV • what you would want from a story like this

Thank you!! Comment “ME” If interested
