​Escrow payments for artists in venues

Hi all,

Me and two buddies who have been active in the music scene (but never performed live) decided to start playing around with Claude and some payment integration features.

After talking to an artist, we discovered that payments for shows are sometimes delayed.

We agreed to develop a basic escrow transaction service that sends money to the artist once the performance is completed (where the venue clicks a button to confirm the performance is completed).

If the venue does not dispute or click the confirmation, then transaction is completed automatically in 24 hours, to reduce the risk of not getting paid for the artist.

However, after posting on Reddit we realised most performers don’t have this problem, as they usually either get 50% before the performance and 50% during, or get paid in the venue before the show starts.

My question is, where should we take this idea to? How can we pivot to have something that isn’t just nice-to-have but seen as necessary in the future.
