They always say look for something people don’t want to do and offer that service.

I want to sell my car, plus I have another car that I don’t use and I have a trailer that I use for storage only. I would like to sell these items, but I’m in no hurry and honestly I just don’t want to deal with placing ads and dealing with showing people, test drives, bargaining etc.

Today it occurred to me that someone should offer a flipping service. Identifying people that have multiple vehicles, equipment etc. speak to the owner about what their bottom price is (owner is doing no work so you could negotiate this number) and agree for a copy of key or key location. You’d never have to take possession of the actual item. Start making a list of all the vehicles and equipment available in a 20 mile radius. Place ads promoting all of these items. You would sell for whatever you want and owner would be paid his minimum. And you would only have out of pocket costs of marketing and making duplicate keys.

You wouldn’t have to have any storage location or lot- everything remains on location. When prospective buyers respond to ads you would have numerous backups to show them as well. Sort of like a real estate agent but for vehicles,farm/recreational equiptment

If someone offered me this service today, I’d say sign me up!
