Help me find a future.

My last post received some good responses but also some hate so let me rephrase and explain more in depth on everything as good as I can. -Disclaimer I am in no way, shape or form bragging about anything. I am not rich. I did not come from money. I am not lazy. I do not care to work as hard as possible to build companies. I am not selfish and would love to make enough money to donate and help others in need. I do not need to be a billionaire but I do want to provide for my family and create generational wealth. I am just giving all the information possible to help people understand my situation and give me the best advice possible.

Backstory: I am a military vet but not by choice. In 2021 I was kicked out for refusing the vaccine. The military was my identity and what I thought I’d do the rest of my life. I was on a very successful path in the military. Fortunately and unfortunately I do have complications after the military that has resulted in me receiving compensation from the va. With really no other experience or schooling I decided to start a food truck business after being kicked out and receiving my va pension. My in laws own a successful restaurant that I worked at as a teen before the military so I knew my way around the business and had mentors. Food truck was a success so I went into a brick and mortar. Our brick and mortar is a cafe donut shop. My fiancé and I also own a boutique located in the same building as the cafe. From 21- mid 2023 I worked 80+ hours a week building my business. I hired four employees for the cafe and boutique. 2 of which are my aunts. 1 aunt is a gm of subway and the other is a gm of shell mart so they both know business fairly well. Because I am able to trust them they have been hired as full time managers. I do not work at this business anymore other than check ups. I also do not want to work this business mainly because of my issues caused by the military. I understand that I am very very very lucky and a very rare case of business being successful and also finding employees that you can trust and let run your business. However luck only plays a portion. I did work my ass off, and I did do my research, and I also had the mentors to help along the way.

My passion: Making money while having home life balance is my only passion. I don’t care if it’s shoveling crap or building skyscrapers. The only thing that matters to me is making money while also having a home life. I feel as I am able to learn anything and do anything (yes I know there are limitations to this). In my mind accomplishing something going makes me happy; closing a deal, building something, doing something that others don’t. I know I’ll never replace that feeling I had from the military but I just want to be better than I am now.

After leaving the military I was honestly devastated. Went into major depression and suicidal state. I seriously loved it. So when you say, “find something you love doing” I really don’t know what that is anymore. Like I said, I know I like money and having a home life. So the reason I am here is to maybe hear an idea from one of you that sparks an interest in my life. I am open to all ideas and all advice.

Financial situation: Yes I technically have a passive income. Anywhere from 5-15k per month depending on business profit with an average of around 7k per month. This is with just a couple hours a week of doing books for business, ordering supplies, making sure employees are happy. If decided to go to college I also have full gi bill from military (pays for college)

Experience: I have always said I am kinda good at a lot of things but not really great at anything which is not good. This is mainly because I find something, learn it enough to try it, get bored because it’s not filling to me, so I move on to something else. It’s a toxic trait honestly. Obviously I have the food industry experience. Military experience engineering and sales. Jobs were horizontal construction engineer (heavy equipment operator), carpentry, electrician, masonry and then the last stint of my career I was a recruiter. I was able to get this different jobs in the military because I am seriously open to learn or try anything.

Hobbies or so called passions: hunting and fishing, golfing, playing guitar, anything outdoors, I love nature and wildlife, I absolutely love animals. I like building things and owning tools (even tho I’m not good at it). I enjoying learning new things. I enjoy trading options on the stock market.

I am really lost here and would like your help. I do not need to be bashed by some random person in the comments because they aren’t happy with theirselves. I am coming here to learn, to get help and guidance. I am putting my self on the line to get better so help if if you can. If not then don’t comment.

With all of this being said what could you see me doing for a living? What are great business ideas you can think of? What does someone you know that makes a good living do? What are just some general suggestions?

Again I am open to learn, go to school, build a business, buy a business, anything you can think of. Luckily my bills are paid so I don’t have the added stress that you normally have when starting from scratch. I don’t want to just sit around and waste my time. I know I am better than what I am now. Thanks for any help.
