Hi everyone. I’m a stay at home mom looking for ways to start a small online based business that is not too demanding. I have some skills in sewing and crocheting, and I’ve been thinking about how I can use them to earn some income from home.
Lately, I’ve been considering making unique, cute, and good quality doll accessories such as clothes, hats, bags, chains, and other small add ons. My idea is to focus mainly on doll clothing, including dresses, sweaters, outfits, and themed pieces that can be mixed and matched. I’d love to design accessories for popular dolls like Labubu, Barbie, and other collectible dolls as well.
Once I have enough pieces ready, I plan to open an Etsy shop and also sell through Facebook, especially in doll and collector groups. My target market would be doll lovers, collectors, and enthusiasts who appreciate handmade accessories. I’ve seen similar doll accessories being sold on platforms like Amazon, Alibaba, and Etsy, which makes me think there is real demand and that people genuinely enjoy buying them.
I would really appreciate advice from those with experience. Is there enough demand to make this sustainable, and what tips would you give when it comes to pricing, marketing, or getting started?
