Legalzoom vs Northwest Registered Agent?

I’m forming this new company for a niche idea I’m testing out, mobile tool rental for weekend DIYers. Like delivering equipment directly to homeowners doing projects. This can include equipment like mini skid steers, power augers, concrete mixers and more. Curious if anyone’s tried something similar or sees any red flags with this model.

So for this, I’m getting ready to set up another LLC, and I’m debating whether to stick with LegalZoom or try out LLC formation with Northwest Registered Agent.

I used LegalZoom for my first LLC and while everything went smoothly, the price tag honestly felt a bit inflated for what I got.

For example, last time I didn’t realize half the “recommended add-ons” were optional. I clicked through thinking they were required, and next thing I knew I was paying way more than I planned. Lesson learned, but still, felt a little nickel-and-dimed.

Also for anybody who’s done this recently, did you feel like doing it yourself through the state website was actually worth the headache?
