Let’s completely revamp the big number system

Right now, 10 squared is a hundred which times ten is a thousand. But then a thousand squared is a million. The rest of the “illions” are by a factor of a thousand. It doesn’t make sense for a hundred and a million to be the square of the previous iteration but not everything else.

The old english numbering system made more sense because every iteration was the square of the previous one.

Today 100 squared = 10,000 (ten thousand). Now, it will equal 1,0000 (thousand). Each comma will indicate a new iteration except hundred. Also, million will be the thousandth “illion” being ten squared a thousand times. Taking its place as the first “illion” will be monillion which makes sense since it’s the first one with billion and trillion being representative of the same idea.

Here’s what I mean for example:

100 = hundred

1000 = ten hundred

1,0000 = thousand

10,0000 = ten thousand

100,0000 = hundred thousand

1,0000,0000 = monillion

10,0000,0000 = ten monillion

100,0000,0000 = hundred monillion

1000,0000,0000 = thousand monillion

1000000,0000,0000 = ten thousand monillion

1000000,0000,0000 = hundred thousand monillion

1,0000000,0000,0000 = billion

10,0000000,0000,0000 = ten billion

100,0000000,0000,0000 = hundred billion

1000,0000000,0000,0000 = thousand billion

10000,0000000,0000,0000 = ten thousand billion

100000,0000000,0000,0000 = hundred thousand billion

1000000,0000000,0000,0000 = monillion billion

10000000,0000000,0000,0000 = ten monillion billion

100000000,0000000,0000,0000 = hundred monillion billion

1000000000,0000000,0000,0000 = thousand monillion billion

1,0000000000,0000000,0000,0000 = trillion

I’m not too sure how practical this numbering system would be in today’s world but it would probably make more sense in the far future when we’re out in space and dealing with big numbers on a regular basis.
