I’m aware some deep demented part of your brain conjured up the image of love too,

I realized your description of love

Is someone running after you like a fool.

I don’t really blame you

Because I know I was a handful

I just thought throwing all my love at you

Would be more powerful.

But I knew you didn’t understand the way I love

The moment you had a wandering eye

A wandering hand, and wandering lips

And I just kept asking you why.

Why did you stay all this time?
