potential business idea/plan? looking for input?

All my life ive been drawn towards vintage items, toys etc. into alot of collectibles as a hobby. mostly diecast, aswell as some cards and misc.

I had an idea to start a Toy/ collectables shop. carrying a assortment of vintage toys and collectables and similar items aswell as carrying some new stuff right from the manufacturer, and a collection of misc trading cards, new & vintage.

I would also like to leave section of the shop for “renter booths” for people who also collect or sell on a smaller scale to be able to rent and set up a mini shop inside to create a wider assortment of items and perhaps charge a 10% on items sold by the booth. This business model has been used at a few other shops near me ( mostly thrift type stores) with great success. a few booths even already keep stuff that would fit the shop, so in my mind having a one stop shop for people to have a wider assortment of this niche items could draw a audience. I would also focus alot on selling online as there is just a incomparable audience to online sales vs in person in today’s market especially this specifically.

I live in a moderate sized growing town which is good and bad. not as many people, granted it is growing pretty fast, but this also means there is currently a lack of shops with anything like this in a hour drive. We’re slowly starting to get activity centers and brand name shops but its gradual.

There is one other shop in the area but they focus on soley magic of the gathering cards mainly and host events and they have appeared successful, though must more niche they are traditionally having alot of foot traffic and appear to be expanding slowly.

id love to find some sort of niche or activity to add to the shop to draw in potential tourists or someone who might not even be exactly a toy person to gain a wider audience. All of the independent toy shops I know have that have been successful always have more too it ( museums of history of toys or movie culture, small RC car track, activities like VR or even ice cream shop.) i want to find something to make it stand out but havent exactly came down to a final idea.

ive been selling on ebay/market place for a while with decent success but plan to scale up on that aspect before I stepped into a store setting. to try to gain more traction/ experience and go to more of my local toy vendor shows but just wanted to see what people thought about the potential of this idea?
