​Reddit should be forced to remove the doomscrolling format

Reddit has killed or at least marginalised specialised forums and the ephemeral nature of the posts here leads to constant repetition and most of all there isn’t any way to organise topics. Imagine if the books subreddit had “folders” for different authors and in there for individual books and them perhaps even for individual chapters where those could be discussed over the years. Same for music and myriad of other things.

Of course there’s nothing in it for Reddit. The doomscrolling format is perfect to make you see as many “promoted” posts as possible. The owners have earned enough money for this relatively simple app. It should be forcebly redesigned without any view on optimising ad clicks.
