​Small silver cushioned object that opens and snaps closed?

I found this small object (slightly larger but similar in shape to Bic lighter) while cleaning out someone’s junk room.

It opens and snaps closed and has small cushions inside.

It’s about 3 inches long x 1 inch wide 1 inch x 1 inch thick when closed.

It is very lightweight; about an ounce heavy.

It has a thin silver toned metal exterior with a black plastic interior and blue fabric cushions.

There is only a made in china sticker; nothing written on it

There’s nothing electric and it makes no noise except for the snap once it clicks closed.

It’s been acquired at some point in the last 20 years. People in this household have worked in corporate and healthcare, both companies of which sent small gifts throughout the years – possibly could have been sent by one of their companies. What could this be?? Thank you in advance.
