​Sourcing from China

I’m a fisherman based in the UK and I have got into a fairly niche style of fishing. Buying the equipment for this has been quite difficult as it’s quite obscure.

I bought a small compartment box to keep the equipment in and as I’ve been sourcing bits to fill it with I have had the idea that I could potentially sell these small boxes already fully loaded with the equipment inside.

All the items are very small and relatively cheap. My thoughts were initially to buy enough parts to build up say twenty sets and then list them on eBay for a small profit.

My question is, where do I stand on buying items in relatively small amounts of bulk from the likes of ali express or temu and rebranding it as my own? None of the items have the suppliers branding on, but I don’t know what the general rules on this are?

I know a lot of the UK fishing tackle brands do this, but I’m assuming on the scale they are buying at they are dealing directly with factories in China.

If possible could somebody please give me some advice on how this has been done before? I am guessing small start ups don’t go direct to factories initially but at the same time I don’t want to get in trouble for reselling somebody else’s thing.
