Story Idea Dump

(I have a LOT of story ideas I wanna start writing at some point, but I’m too busy/lazy to actually do them rn, so I’m dumping them here from my Notion document for anyone curious to see what the inside of my brain looks like. PS. there’s definitely more, I just haven’t typed them out yet/don’t remember them)

Angel Killer: Set in the midst of the Satanic Panic, a female detective is called to investigate the “Angel Killer,” a serial killer wearing all black and a red devil mask who brutally murders priests and pastors in Limestone County, Texas. Despite the case being difficult on its own, the constant misogyny from the police force and how little they help her makes it worse. So when the killer in question decides to lend her a hand, she ends up being thrown into a twisted demonic cat-and-mouse game; one where the cat is too smug, refuses to show its face, and is possibly not who he seems…

In This Family, We All Kill: Christiana was born into the Greyson family, a rich family in the US with a deadly tradition: every year on October 13th, each member of the family, ages 14-65 not including spouses, participates in a game of luxurious mass murder where the family member with the most kills get access to sponsor money until next year’s tradition. Realizing how insane her family is, Christiana ran away from home to live a peaceful second life. Years later, she’s living in London under a new name (Chrissy) with a lovely fiance, their black cat Moonshine, and a job as an animal activist and news journalist. All is finally good in her life… Until she, her fiance and cat are kidnapped and taken back to her psycho father’s estate. Her father then makes a deal with her: this year’s family tradition is in two weeks and Chrissy MUST participate. If she wins, she gets to go back to her little life in London and the family ceases all contact with her. BUT if she loses or outright refuses to participate, her fiance dies and she will be forced to live on her father’s estate… With no chance of escape.

Emotional Support Jester: Melissa’s professor gives her and her class one big project that counts as their final exam: fnd a discontinued toy from the 1980s and 1990s, research its origins, and make an essay and presentation on how you would bring it back in the modern day. While looking for a toy to talk about, Melissa stumbles across something called the “Emotional Support Jester;” a customizable jester plushie created by ClownToy Central that was meant to help people take better care of themselves. But what started as a light Google search later developed into diving down a niche internet rabbit hole full of archived internet forums, old social media posts, and even her own personal jester sent by the company themselves.
