​”Storyteller” found at the thrift store – Some kind of radio related equipment, housed in a heavy duty metal case, looks to be from the 70s/80s

Anybody got any clue what this is for? Obviously something to do with recording/radio it seems…found it at the thrift store and it was cheap enough that I let my curiosity win and I bought it.
