The death of the “AI Chatbot” era. What comes next?

2024 was the year of RAG and simple bots that basically just summarized PDFs. In 2026, that’s not enough. Customers are tired of “talking” to software; they want their problems resolved.

I’ve been obsessed with the shift from simple chat to Autonomous Reasoning.

The idea is to give small businesses a “logic layer” – something that doesn’t just repeat FAQ text but actually performs technical consultations and sales logic without human intervention. Think of it as an expert brain that can actually close a deal at 3 AM because it understands the business rules, not just the keywords.

The future of business isn’t “talk,” it’s “resolution.” What industries do you think are most desperate for these autonomous “sales brains” right now? I’m seeing huge gaps in high-ticket services and complex E-com. Thoughts?
