​What are these zipper-holes on the back of my fabric sofa for? Cannot remove cover, the inside is hollow with a thin piece of foam. Two zippers, one at each end of the back.

I just bought this sofa today, noticed that there are these zipper-flaps on the back that seem deliberate to me, doesnt seem like they are trying to hide ’manufacturing’.

Cant remove covers, at all. Inside is hollow, nothing you can feel and a thin piece of foam that is against the outer fabric.

I feel like there maybe could be an attatchment? or maybe its for carrying purposes?

Why on earth would they put two ugly and very visible flaps on the back? What are these zippers? ”Carrying-flaps” ?
