“Before you disappear, is there anything you would like to ask me”, they asked.
So she told them to explain to her all the mysteries of this universe. So they did. They told her about the evil which inhabited it, about the secrets she was never aware of. They explained from the molecules which make up the world to the great mysteries of the Corpus Giga and its foundation in mischief. They told her how the universe was born in a dashing explosion, lived as a flame, and would die, leaving noting but a void as black and cold as ashes. Lastly, they explained themselves. And after all the time spent in a bright abyss of her own, full of the knowledge of the world, she was finally ready to disappear, with enough thoughts to last an infinite number of lifetimes.
“Will you come to an end as well”, she asked.
“Well my child, they started, all has an end. Just like you, the universe, and water, I too will die. But the end gives way to a new beginning.”
“So why do I end?” she continued.
“Because you are part of my death. The end of what you used to call the reality, the fake, the surreal, all is my end.”
And with all her questions finally answered, the light filtered out, the darkness did too, and only nothingness remained.
The God remained and disappeared all at once, because time is futile as dot on a single dimension: it is everything and yet void. The emptiness left in Their place collapsed on itself; it was truly the most beautiful marvel of nature, to witness nothingness become absolute, for peace to become the one true rule. The birth of an undisturbed eternity was the true meaning of life, God and the end.
I say “to witness” because I am nothing but an observer, a girl with an extensive imagination. The truth is much more beautiful, it is true freedom; there is no word powerful enough to express it. However, this beauty can be see in flashes, in random moments where reality aligns with one’s mind, and only then one can see that being inconsequential as a whole makes you appreciate all that comes in and from yourself and your surroundings. We are born naked, whole yet separated from others, and the glimpses into that feeling of nothingness and belonging are the only moments that remind us of the way we felt in our mother’s wombs, and ultimately the way we’ll feel when we die. It is not paradise or hell; it is a moment we’ll all become the same substance despite the lives we led. The true equaliser, that unites us all, not under a reign of control, but in surrender. Peace by default for all, comrades for an infinite journey, with no flag nor home, but serenity as identity. By giving up everything that we are, we come together, as atoms of a collapsing star, and we jump into a black hole: the entirety of life, leaving for good, giving back what was once lent to us and accepting peace as our one true meaning. God is happy, they waited for that moment in the background. Our completion is there, and it is beautiful.
