Your thoughts on my way of thinking? Let’s connect.

I’ll share a bit about myself first so I can properly ask for advice.

I have been running an art business for the past 4 years (I started when I was 16). I sell originals and art prints (mostly originals, which take a lot of time to create) and make social media content like Instagram reels and Reddit photo posts to drive traffic to my store.

I’m not only interested in art but also in the business side of things (often, when painting, I listen to business-related podcasts). I also came across a book called The Millionaire Fastlane, which taught me many important lessons on the topic. It made me realize that an art business might not be the most “optimal” business in the world, especially considering I started as a teenager when $200 felt like life-changing money.

Despite this, I’ve been quite successful in my painting business. Over the past few years, I’ve made around $6-8k annually, doing it as a side hustle while going to school (especially considering I come from an Eastern European country where the median wage isn’t very high).

I’m currently studying physiotherapy at university, and a new idea has come to mind for a potential business. I take class notes using Notion and use Quizlet to create flashcards on the material. I was thinking about how useful it would be if there were software that combined both features into one – note-taking and flashcard generation, powered by OpenAI, for example.

I understand that starting a SaaS company can be challenging, but I’m confident that with enough time to learn and execute, nothing is “impossible.” There’s also a starting capital that I could use. I’d love to hear feedback from business-minded people and connect with others on these topics.
