​A super-simple uptime monitoring and incident management tool for small teams

I’ve noticed that most uptime monitoring and incident management tools are either overly complex and expensive (like Datadog) or too limited (like UptimeRobot). My idea is to build a service that sits right in the middle: one that provides only the essential features a small team actually needs without all the bloat and cost.

The plan for the MVP is simple: uptime monitoring for websites/APIs, a basic system to notify on-call members via email and push notifications, and a simple public status page. We’d track essential metrics like response time but stay away from complicated log and trace management.

I’m curious, what’s your biggest frustration with the tools you’re currently using? Would a simpler, more focused service be something you’d use?
