​Beginning to write

Hi guys

I’m a young highschool writer and I’d like to get into some short story writing.

I’ve done some flash fiction stuff in the past, but always on a theme or prompt and under about 750 words, so starting to write a 3000 word short story is a bit daunting!

I’m a very sensory writer – I love to describe things and put someone in my scenes and story, which for me, means less plot that seems crucial for a longer piece.

Please does anyone have any advice on how to start writing and how to follow through with the whole story and plot? Any advice is helpful
