This is literally something I came up with while having lunch with my younger brother today, i’m just trying to see if there’s any potential in this idea so I know if there’s a point in spending any time working this out.
for context: I’m in my first year at university doing a course called “Safety and security management” which covers all aspects of security. my younger brother will most likely start an electrical engineering course in college next year. we’ve both been fascinated with the fire service since we where little and we’re both hoping to become a (volunteer) firefighter in the near future which won’t make us much money. I’m currently 16 and my brother is 14 so it’s not like we’ve got life all figured out right now.
the idea: offering “risk assessment and evaluation” plans + installing the needed systems for big companies.
the market for this should be pretty big: all companies have to follow rules and regulations and will get fined if they don’t. if someone gets hurt (or worse) they’ll get sued for a fck ton of money which is something most people don’t really want either. most businesses i’ve seen in this market only write plans or only install systems. but by combining the two, you get twice the profit. it also makes the whole process easier for the companies we’d offer services to. you can tell people that they need security systems and stuff like that but if they don’t know how to install anything, the plan is pretty much useless.
i obviously haven’t thought it all through but i’m just trying to see if this idea is good enough to spend more time on. any advice or feedback is welcome !
