I noticed something scary running my SaaS — a bunch of Stripe subscription payments were failing, and I had no idea until I checked the dashboard. Customers weren’t getting notified properly, and I was losing recurring revenue without even realizing it.
After getting burned a couple of times, I hacked together a small tool called DeclineDetect. It plugs into Stripe and sends me instant alerts on Telegram whenever a payment fails, so I can follow up with the customer right away instead of finding out weeks later.
Super simple, but it already saved me a few accounts. I’m curious — how do you guys currently handle failed payments? Do you have automated recovery, or do you just let Stripe’s default emails do the work?
