​Fiction Workshop Submission

Okay, so I have this submission due for my fiction workshop class tomorrow, and I’m struggling to figure out how to conclude my story and tie all the plot points together. I was intending for it to be a short story originally, but tbh, I think there’s too many plot points for it to be all wrapped up so quickly, so I think it might need to be the first chapter of a book.

The overall plot is that the government has found a way to control people’s dreams for data mining purposes.

The main character is a girl named Aurelia. She meets a man with golden eyes and a strange creature. At first, they are in front of a building on what she believes to be her college’s campus. The dream shifts, and now, they are on a beach. Then, the man disappears and is never seen again. The next night, she is back at the beach with the strange creature in her arms. The creature warns her of what is going to happen—someone is controlling her dreams, and she has to run. Aurelia finds herself in a long, dark hallway, and a demon ghost girl appears who tells Aurelia that Aurelia must admit to killing “her.” At this point, Aurelia recognizes the demon ghost girl’s voice as the voice of someone she knew named Victoria. It’s unclear whether the ghost girl actually is Victoria or if she is just using her demon ghost girl powers to replicate Victoria’s voice. Aurelia closes her eyes and manages to escape the ghost girl and ends up back at the beach with the creature. The creature tells her that she can take back control of her dreams by entering the dream of someone from the government. The dream shifts again, and now, Aurelia finds herself in an abandoned hospital. She sees the ghost girl again, and the ghost girl ends up leading her through the hospital to the hospital roof. Along the way, they encounter a room with a locked glowing door that the ghost girl seems to be afraid of.

I think whatever is behind the locked glowing door is the answer to all these mysteries, (Who is the ghost girl? Is the ghost girl Victoria? What happened to Victoria? Did Aurelia actually kill Victoria? Who was the man with golden eyes? What happened to him? Etc.) but I don’t know what that would be.
