It feels inconceivable now that 20 years ago, society collectively shamed McDonalds for offering too much food for too little money, and forced them to stop. The logic for this was: a man demonstrated that you shouldn’t eat it for 3 meals a day, every day, and nothing else.

If a friend or family member starts a question with “don’t you want to” or “don’t you think,” they’re actually more interested in validating their own thoughts and/or wants, not yours.
