​Fridge sized electrical equipment found at the end of hiking trail,

I came across this cabinet of gear just below the end of a hiking trail, underneath a roughly 10m tall boulder. The top of the boulder was previously accessible but the access was removed. I had wondered if this was potentially pushed off the top and it looks burnt?
