I MIGHT BE GETTING ON ABCs SHARK TANK!

I recently received an email from a Shark Tank casting producer requesting to schedule a call next week, and I’m feeling both excited and a bit anxious. Although I applied a while ago without really expecting a response, it’s now becoming a reality.

My business operates in the sneaker care industry, offering organic, handcrafted sneaker cleaning products our cleaning product for sneakers isn’t like the rest. The market is rapidly expanding, and I believe it has significant potential. However, I’m not the most eloquent speaker when it comes to pitching, despite my in-depth knowledge of the business.

My primary concern is whether Shark Tank would allow me to bring someone else on board solely for the pitch, such as a business partner or a hired spokesperson, or if they prefer to hear directly from the actual owner.

For those who have gone through the process or know someone who has, I would appreciate any insights or experiences regarding the following:

What is the focus of the initial call – sales figures, product uniqueness, or the overall story? Any tips on standing out and increasing the chances of advancing to the next round? If you’ve been on the show, what do you wish you had done differently?

I would greatly appreciate any advice or experiences from individuals who have participated in the show or even avid Shark Tank fans who understand the process. Thank you in advance!
