So I have a creative writing assignment where the teacher has given us some pretty stringent rules (stringent to me because I do more intuitive writing) for the short story. The rules are as follow:
a clear plot.
2. character(s), point of view (s), setting, theme & stylistic devices
a twist founded on conflict.
The last one is what’s really bothering me. I’m adapting from a story I wrote a while back ~500 words about Life and Death talking to each other but I have no clue where and how to put a twist in the story. The twist already is that Death is more compassionate than Life, so I don’t know where I can put any conflict. On top of that I’m not too sure if its a “clear plot”.
I’m unsure if I should post my story here as its quite long already, but if someone would be wiling to read over my work, I would be forever greatful!
