Please tell me this isn’t a billion dollar business idea

So, recently I’ve been loosing a lot of sleep over this business idea I’ve had. I seem to believe it has never been done before and that it could very well be a billion dollar business, if executed correctly. I’m not one to go over the moon with stuff like this, therefore I’m looking for reasons to “shut this down” cuz I’m 99% sure I could be missing something and it could be total crap.

Here we go. Feel free to roast it or copy it since I’ll probably never start.

-Imagine you’re in a new city you don’t know well. You may be a tourist, have recently moved in, or you’ve lived there for a while. More than likely, you’ll need some kind of service; a barber, a dentist, maybe a mechanic, or you feel like booking a spa, or god forbid you need a divorce lawyer? My point is; any type of service.

What’s the way people usually go to get service? They Google it…”Mechanic near me”. Then they spend minutes going through reviews, checking whether they do repairs onsite vs in-shop only, anxious if they’ll be overcharged, and then after finding one who looks decent, they call them but nobody answers. And then you go through the same process and call the second one.

It’s 2025 and it really shouldn’t be that hard (grateful though cuz it is easier than what it used to be a few decades ago, but I think we can do it better today)

What if there was a way, where you just type on a AI powered search engine: “My engine is running hot. I need a mechanic within a 5 minute drive within my location. Preferably, a provider who speaks Spanish because my English isn’t very good.” And then within seconds, the AI sources a pre-vetted mechanic with the exact or very close requirements that the user has, and connects them instantly via WhatsApp (or similar service). No need to call or waste any time for details. The users Whatsapp sends instantly a request to the provider’s Whatsapp and the provider’s WhatsApp AI Bot gathers details and books the appointment or does whatever necessary to convert the lead into a customer, without the mechanic ever lifting a finger.

Within 60 seconds, the user has searched for a particular service and has booked the service with a top rated, local, vetted provider.

People already love conversational search. ChatGPT proved it. Over 100 million people tried it in the first months because it feels natural and intuitive. We’re tapping into that exact behavior, but applying it to services.

Google overwhelms people with hundreds of providers. We do the opposite: we vet providers in advance, then connect users to the right one instantly. People don’t want “more options.” They want the right option.

Urgency drives action. Most services we solve for; dentist, mechanic, doctor, lawyer, electricians, etc. are of high urgency. When people are in pain or stuck, they don’t want to browse. They want a solution now. That’s exactly what we provide

.Our model is simple: we take a 10–20% transaction fee on every booking, and offer premium subscriptions to providers for added visibility and automation.

The providers would be happy to be listed because they’ll get high intent leads without worrying about marketing. We do the marketing for them.

Sure, doing this in a global scale needs Google-scaled efforts. I’m saying, let’s start with a small market.

Why wouldn’t this work?
