This Subreddit May Not Be Ready for My Level of Genius

I hesitate to post this. Not because I doubt myself, but because I fear for you. Some of you may not be prepared for what I bring, for the kind of writing that does not simply entertain but reshapes the very fabric of human thought. Still, I must try. For art. For history. For the silent, pleading voice of literature itself.

I have been writing since before I had words. My mother claims my first cry was “metaphor,” though the doctors insist it was just hunger. At six, I wrote a novella in crayon across the dining room walls. My kindergarten teacher called it “a disturbance,” but I knew what she really meant. Now, as a sophomore in a highly selective liberal arts institution, which I will not name, as its reputation should not overshadow mine, I find myself at a crossroads.

Do I share my work here? Do I risk exposing my vision to those who may not understand? I have seen lesser works praised in this subreddit, stories filled with clichés and tired attempts at introspection. Will my voice, rich with pathos and heavy with literary destiny, be heard?

I will not post my writing yet. Not until I know you are ready. Instead, I ask you, reader, do you seek something more? Do you long for writing that reaches beyond the mundane, that dares to grasp something deeper? If so, perhaps I will share what I have written.

Until then, I watch. I wait. And I write.
