​Weird one. Found this while exploring an abandoned property. The cop who attended after I reported it said it was a battery charger, not what I thought it was.

Made of brass with inscriptions “explosive, dangerous, detonator” and a long orange wire connected to it. Like I said, after I reported it to police, the attending officer called me and told me not to worry and it was a battery charger. I asked “what about the inscriptions” and he awkwardly laughed and said it was not a detonator.

I just cant simply understand how this is a battery charger and am hoping someone here can help me out. Found in Australia if that helps.
