I think the 3 people requirement promotes more platonic meetups. Yeah I know things can just as easily develop from there, but it works perfectly for an app that’s focused on finding friends and hanging out

I noticed that people are more open when they’re not just talking to one stranger. Adding a 3rd party keeps the conversation flowing better and gives the other person more room to relax and spectate. Those small windows where the spotlight is not on you and you can freely think before jumping in on the conversation helps a lot. Especially if someone’s not super social.
