Why does common furniture need to be inconvenient? We are eager to get your insights!

Dear Redditors

Have you ever rearranged your living space? Whether it’s moving apartments, houses, or just changing rooms, you’ve probably faced some of these common challenges with furniture:

Bulky pieces that are a pain to move and can’t be taken apart. Low-quality materials prone to damage during transportation. Difficulty fitting old furniture into new spaces. Feeling stuck with an outdated style because buying new furniture is expensive. Dealing with complicated assembly instructions for new pieces. Worries about the environmental impact of disposing of old furniture.

We asked ourselves: Why does it have to be this way?

While playing with some concepts my friend and me came up with a potential furniture system adressing all pain points above.

Imagine true modular furniture that is high-quality, stylish, eco-friendly, adaptable in style, and as easy to assemble as Lego with no screws. You can even reuse parts to create new pieces. For instance, when moving to a new apartment, repurpose your old wardrobe into a table by adding just few extra elements.

We are curious:

Have you faced these pain points? Which furniture would be the biggest pain to move if you had to relocate tomorrow? What matters most to you when buying furniture? Is it design, price, or something else? Would you pay for our solution? If not, what would it need?

Looking forward to a discussion!
