My country, Uganda, barely has any actual private equity firms even though it has a very active private sector. How do you think I can go about opening a private equity firm, or at least an investment firm, in such a country?
Hypothetically, if Uganda’s market can’t sustain one (considering there’s barely any and Im sure Im not the first guy with this idea) and I’d have to expand to other African countries, I need to start somewhere. Any advice on where that could be?
