Imagine you are a small store and you want an online site where you can showcase your inventory to your old customer and potential new customer what do you do?
Agencies are out of budget. Developer scouting requires some technical knowledge. Shopify is a full blown ecommerce store. Wix has terrible seo. Framer is beyond a budget for small corner store and webflow isn’t that much better and both require technical skill. Carrd is single page also lacking seo.
WordPress is the only option where you get flexibility and low cost but the reality of WordPress? Inflating hosting cost, upselled into unnecessary stuff, plugin bloat and security incidents after all of this still require some technical knowledge.
There’s just nothing out there where you signup fill a form with store details. Upload product pictures and just share it to customers like “Hey, our product range is available on our online store feel free to create a list of products your interested in and share with us” that’s all.
I have seen some attempts at it but either they got seo wrong, techstack wrong or design/responsiveness wrong.
The worst of all was the wrong flow just like we don’t want businesses to do multiple hops to get to the point where they launch their online store we don’t want their customers to do the same either when exploring the business’s inventory.
